Forecasts 2030.
Let’s look into the future?
It is becoming more and more obvious that we can attract the future that we are most interested in. Nevertheless, there are objective trends that set certain social and economic flows in which the whole world will have to exist regardless of whether we want it or not.

In this section, we have collected forecasts and research that we considered important for participants to understand their aim and that will help them better formulate the values of the projects submitted to the Competition.

Possible perspectives
  • 1
Centers of influence are shifting to the East
By 2030, most of the urban population will live in Asian countries. The largest education markets will be India and China.
  • 2
Robot replacement for most common professions
Robots and applications are becoming smarter and more functional and are already replacing people in some areas, for example, on assembly lines and in agriculture. According to forecasts, in the next 6−7 years they will surpass the person not only in common professions, but also in the field of white-collar workers: more than 50% of patents for developments in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence relate to high-level professions such as analysts, engineers, doctors and lawyers.
  • 3
The conflict between people and androids
The lawmakers abroad are facing huge challenges even now, forming a new science "The rights and duties of robots and artificial intelligence." This is especially important because of the penetration of intelligent technologies in the environment of early children education and management of industrial facilities. Very soon, it will be impossible to remove them from daily use systems and this will begin to lead firstly to legal conflicts, and then to open clashes between technologies and the "new luddites".
  • 4
    Workplace Generation Conflict
The number of people 50+ years old in 20 years will be about 25% of the population. The thinking, decision-making, and digital skills of people trained in 20th-century schools and those studying now will dramatically differ. The generational resistance will increase while the speed of growth and efficiency of any company will decrease. This will require new approaches and the emergence of entire professions that will help synchronize generational gaps and facilitate the translation of meanings.
  • 5
    The blackout of the Internet
The darknet is a segment of the Internet that allows users to access hidden areas of the global network staying anonymous through the use of special software. It will be used as circumvent government restrictions, which will lead to the creation of parallel data flows that will pose a threat to the safety of citizens, businesses and the state.
  • 6
    Digital doubles
The concept of digital doubles as a virtual representation of a physical object is used in industry, becoming a strong catalyst for the development of modern companies. For example, the technology made it possible to "assemble" 20 oil refineries and oil production facilities of ADNOC, one of the key operators of the oil and gas industry in the middle East, into a single control room. The digital counterpart combines the entire complex of the company’s assets scattered throughout the Middle East. All processes were unified and brought to a single standard.
At the University of Lobachevsky and DIT Moscow, scientists are developing a digital copy of a person with exact analogs of life systems. This "neurodeveloper" allows you to monitor the physical condition of the patient and prevent the risks of developing diseases. In the future, the use of such virtual models of organs and the body in medical institutions will give employees the opportunity to monitor online data on the health of customers and the state of medical equipment, as well as remotely affect indicators.
  • 7
    Training customization
The development of individual educational tracks will lead to the creation of "smart textbooks" that can adapt to different ages and levels of knowledge. The role of the teacher will change to that of a mentor who will find a different approach for each student using electronic technologies, artificial intelligence and a digital portfolio. In addition, customization of training will affect not only students, but also teachers themselves.
  • 8
    Urbanization of previously inaccessible territories
The development of zones of extreme cold and heat, underground and underwater territories that are remote from civilization, and even other planets becomes a special agenda for the development of the human community.
  • 9
Creative industries as a new source of GDP
Creative industries in the United States and most European countries are growing rapidly and are stimulating the development of other sectors of the economy. The global market for creative products is already worth $ 12 trillion. The development of the creative economy is directly related to the quality of human capital concentrated on a particular territory. Cities turn into a favorable infrastructure, where new connections are established, new networks of contacts are formed and their fundamentally new mix is formed. The most valuable characteristics of cities were not basic services or economic opportunities, but objects of social and household infrastructure of the city, its friendliness and beauty. Kaliningrad, thanks to rebates (tax refunds), is becoming a new center for the development of cinema, Tomsk relies on IT — there are already 150 companies that work with foreign customers, Yakut masters master modern jewelry design with the support of Moscow creators. It is predicted that in 20 years the contribution of creative industries to global GDP will be 50−60%.

The education market is acquiring features of the financial system
By 2030, the higher education system will become a financial market with all the existing instruments in the financial sector — long-term loans, insurance, venture institutions, business incubators, etc. For example, in Singularity University, a business recently founded by Google and NASA, the University holds minority stakes in companies that its students created. Thus, the business school that gave rise to several projects becomes a venture Fund. Everything goes to the point that when students do not pay tuition fees, the business school will invest in students.
